Medina became Juliana Ramos' caregiver after a car accident left her with severe brain damage two months before their wedding.

American Idol contestants are a competitive lot, but not when it comes to charity.

That's why several former contestants will perform at an event Wednesday night to help out the wheelchair-bound fiance of Chris Medina, the Oak Forest singer who was ousted from the show this season.

Carson Higgins, Caleb Hawley, Jerome Bell and Ta-Tynisa Wilson will all be hand to perform at "Benefit with a View," 6-11 p.m. at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park, Il.

Medina has been collecting donations after he told his story on the reality show about becoming Juliana Ramos' caregiver after a car accident left her with severe brain damage two months before their wedding.

The event includes food, drinks and kids events for the suggested $25 donation.

According to The Herald News, Medina will perform his single "What Are Words," which was inspired by his fiancee.

Fans have also stepped up and donated a handicapped van, a home furnace and thousands of dollars.
