Now you can have the same brilliant sheen, healthy bounce and full, thick body as one deposed Illinois governor.
Dennis Fath, whose company is making the products said inspiration for the Blago hair care products came to him in a dream.
"I woke up in the middle of the night with the idea," Fath, owner of Delta Labratories told the Chicago Tribune. "He does have a nice head of hair, and [I thought] it would be funny to have something named after him because of his hair."
What makes the shampoo and conditioner Blago worthy? Fath said it contains keratein and panthenol, which coat the individual hairs and make them feel thicker and look fuller, just like a corrupt politician’s!
The products retail for $8 each (or $15 as a pair) and are only available through blagohair.com.
There have been no shortage of marketing campaigns attached to the loveable backroom deal maker from Illinois: NBC tried to recruit the governor for their show “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here,” before a judge barred Blago from leaving the country; Second City, a Chicago improv institution has a show called “Rod Blagojevich Superstar; and a local burger joint called “Kuma’s Korner” featured a Blagojevich burger whose main ingredient (besides beef) was a honking slice of baloney.
Surprisingly--- because it seems like such low hanging fruit--- this is the first hair care product to be attached to the former governor. Fewer than 100 bottles have been sold so far, but that could change once the former governor catches wind of the promotion. His quaff could use a bottle a week.
