New Lenox School Board Member Accused of Stalking

An initial protection report was filed against Sue Gillooley in May

The vice president of the New Lenox District 122 School Board is accused of stalking a woman and her four kids.

An initial protection report was filed against Sue Gillooley in May, and a court hearing on Wednesday will determine if the protection order will be extended, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Tuesday.

Kathleen Jackson of New Lenox  filed a police report against Gilooley on May 14 with the Mokena Police Department. Among Jackson's many claims against Gillooley are profane phone calls and text messages to Jackson and harassing visits to Jackson's home and work.

Jackson claims the stalking is due, at least in part, to Gillooley's protectiveness of her boyfriend, who is apparently a friend of Jackson's.

According to Gillooley's defense attorney Daniel Kallan, Jackson's claims have no basis in the truth, and she is using the protection order as a weapon rather than a form of self-protection.

Gillooley has served on the school board since 2007, and has five children.
