Charges were filed Friday against a 67-year-old bus driver, accusing him of keeping a kindergarten-age boy on the bus for several hours three days earlier.

Willie Bledsoe, of the 7600 block of South Honore Street, was charged with kidnapping the 5-year-old boy Tuesday morning, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Chicago police and Chicago Public Schools officials are also investigating alleged "inappropriate behavior" by Bledsoe, but no charges have been filed.

The boy, a kindergarten student at Murray Language Academy, was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital and examined by doctors after he was dropped off at home Tuesday afternoon, a CPS spokeswoman said.

Bledsoe is a bus driver for Jewel Bus Co. out of Roseland.  The company has not commented on the investigation.
