Indiana Man: McClendon Murder Suspects Attacked Me

Man says he was robbed, beaten before parents of CLTV host Garrard McClendon were found

The parents of a popular Chicago television host may not have been the only victims of two teens charged in their deaths.

An Indiana man has come forward, claiming he was robbed and beaten four days before the attack on Ruby and Milton McClendon, whose bodies were found Oct. 19 in a Cook County forest preserve near Calumet City, the Chicago Tribune reported.

The Indiana man, who asked to remain unidentified, said he recognized the two teens charged with the McClendons' deaths. He said a jacket one of them was wearing in television footage was the similar to one worn by his attacker.

Charges against Reo Thompson, 17, and Gregory Brooks, include first-degree murder, robbery, burglary and confinement.

They'll stand trial in Indiana.
