‘When Life Gives You Lemons': David Ross Advances to ‘DWTS' Finale

David Ross just inched even closer to yet another championship -- but not in baseball.

In a surprising elimination episode that left fans and judges shocked Monday night, Ross and partner Lindsay Arnold were among the couples advancing to the finale of "Dancing With the Stars."

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles was eliminated from the reality competition despite perfect scores for her two dances during Monday night's performance.

Judges were visibly shocked following host Tom Bergeron's announcement that Biles and dance partner Sasha Farber finished last in fan voting.

Ross and Arnold performed a foxtrot to "You Make Me Feel So Young" by Michael Buble, earning them a score of 34 out of 40.

"I could watch you every day," said judge Bruno Tonioli.

Ross has faced criticism in past dances for sticking out his butt, but this week, after advice from judge Julianne Hough to practice with a lemon between his cheeks, the judges were impressed by his posture.

Ross even began his dance holding a lemon in his hand and tossing it behind him.

"When life gives you lemons you put them between your buttcheeks," said Arnold.

"You’re not here just because people like you, you’re here because you improve every single time and you bring it to the dance floor," said judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

Biles' elimination leaves Ross, NFL free agent Rashad Jennings and Fifth Harmony singer Normani Kordei in the running for the crown at the finale.

Biles was gracious afterward, saying she learned a lot about herself and planned to return for next week's finale.

She was hoping to follow in the footsteps of Olympic teammate Laurie Hernandez, who won the Mirrorball Trophy last season.
