1 Dead, 2 Injured in Rogers Park Shooting

No one was in custody as of 5:30 a.m.

A man was killed two others were wounded in a shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood Monday night, police said.

Three men, ages 27, 25 and 36, were in a convenience store in the 1600 block of West Howard Street at about 7:20 p.m. when someone standing across the street opened fire, police said.

The 36-year-old was shot in the chest and taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston where he later died, police said.

The 25-year-old was shot in the hip, wrist and leg and also taken to Saint Francis in serious condition. The 27-year-old took himself to Saint Francis with a gunshot wound to his clavicle, police said.

No one was in custody as of 5:30 a.m., but police said all three victims had gang affiliations.
