Women Found with Condom-Wrapped Cocaine at Midway Airport

The cocaine was reportedly stored in body cavities

Two Chicago-area women face felony charges after they reportedly landed at Midway International Airport Friday with about $36,000 worth of cocaine wrapped in condoms.

Denisha White, 24, and Taleishia Trisby, 25, who were returning from a trip to Jamaica, were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance after they were arrested Friday in connection with the incident, according to Chicago police.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection canine alerted officials to White when she landed at Midway Airport after an AirTran Airway flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica, the Chicago Tribune reported.

White reportedly admitted to carrying about 149 grams of cocaine in her vaginal area. The estimated street value of the cocaine was about $18,625.

Trisby, who was on the same flight as White, was also detained and found to be carrying the same amount of cocaine in her anal area, the Tribune reported.

The two were arrested Friday and appeared in bond court Saturday where they were reportedly ordered to be released and placed on electronic monitoring.

They are scheduled to appear in court again June 24.
