Construction equipment caught fire early Monday morning in a storage yard on North Avenue in what West Chicago officials are calling an “unusual fire.”

The flames prompted 48 firefighters, 12 paramedics and six command officers to respond around 4 a.m. and put out the blaze on 10 pieces of A.A. Conte excavation equipment, according to the Chicago Tribune.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains unknown, but DuPage County Arson Task Force and West Chicago investigators are examining the situation.
