Naperville police are investigating what they call a "suspicious incident" in a Northwest side park.

The investigation began after reports of a man who suspiciously approached a boy riding a Mongoose bicycle at Country Lakes Park on Monday afternoon, according to the Naperville Police Department.

A Mongoose bike was later found abandoned in the area where the child was last seen, according to police.

The boy was described as being white, 7- to 10-years-old with blonde hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt with red sleeves, police said.

So far, there are no reports of missing children, but police say they are taking this information seriously.

Anyone with information is being urged to call Naperville Police at 630-420-6173.
