Metra Train Kills Wheelchair-bound Woman

No passengers were hurt



    An elderly Riverdale woman in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a Metra Train Wednesday night.

    Nina Neely, 86, was hit at 95th and Wood Streets near the Beverly station at 10:05 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.

    Metra Spokespersman Tom Miller said the No. 529 on the Rock Island District Line was heading to Joliet.

    No passengers aboard the train suffered any injuires.
