A Palatine man fatally shot himself late Sunday, police said, in the parking lot of a popular sports bar in the northwest suburbs.
Schaumburg police said 27-year-old Michael Cicci intentionally turned a gun on himself while officers tried talking him into surrendering. It happened in the parking lot of the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery on East Higgins Road.
It's still not clear whether any customers were inside the pub during the shooting, police said.
No other details were available. Police are investigating what happened.
