A 36-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint near Buckingham Fountain Friday night, police said. The Chicago Tribune reported the victim is a tourist from New York.
The robbery occurred around 10 p.m. Friday night when the man was approached by two offenders who produced a handgun. The offenders then robbed the man and fled on foot with his belongings, police said.
There were no injuries during the incident, police said.
Nobody is in custody, and Area Central detectives are investigating the robbery.
