A 19-year-old man has been charged with shooting and seriously injuring a 16-year-old boy in February.
Lawrence Longstreet, of the 2900 block of South Federal Street, is accused of shooting the 16-year-old in the back in the 6200 block of South Cottage Grove on Feb. 16. The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.
Longstreet was charged Sunday with one felony count of aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm.
He is expected to appear in bond court Sunday.
