Chris Medina's story is making headlines all over the world.
The Oak Forest man not only made it past the first round of "American Idol" last night, but he also had a heartbreaking story to tell that touched the lives of millions.
While trying out for "Idol" in Milwaukee, the 26-year-old shared the story of how he stayed with his fiancee, Juliana Ramos, after she suffered traumatic brain injuries from a terrible car accident and became nearly paralyzed.
The accident ocurred Oct. 2, 2009, just two months before their wedding.
Medina's Facebook page has blown up since his appearance on "American Idol," and thousands have posted comments with their support.
Medina has a band in Chicago called "The Able Body."
