A retired Illinois State Trooper was charged Friday with viewing child pornography on his department issued computer while on duty.
Juan Rodriguez, 50, is being held on $200,000 bond, according to the Sun-Times. He retired from the force in March.
Rodriguez told investigators that he looked at the images because he was bored at work.
He was busted after a pair of federal agencies tracked his credit card to a purchase on an illicit web site.
Investigators say he could have been viewing the porn for up to six years.
