10 Elementary Students Hospitalized After ‘Pepper Spray' Discharged in School

Ten students at a Chicago elementary school were hospitalized after a form of "pepper spray" was discharged in a hallway Wednesday.

The Chicago Fire Department reported the incident at Oscar DePriest Elementary School, located at 139 S. Parkside Ave., at about 2:15 p.m.

All of the children hospitalized were around the age of 12, fire officials said. They were transported to Loretto Hospital and West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park.
