Could CTA's Huberman Be Getting an Education?

Sources tell Tribune he may replace Duncan

Mayor Richard Daley has CTA President Ron Huberman in mind as a potential successor to Arne Duncan to take over the city's public school system, according to the Chicago Tribune

A source told the Tribune the mayor could make his decisionas early as next week.

Duncan left last month to become U.S. education secretary for President Barack Obama.

Before taking over at the CTA, Huberman ran Chicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communications. He does not have a teaching degree.
