The 2012 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final was held in Auckland, New Zealand.

Chicago has been named the host city for the 2015 World Triathlon Grand Final.

The World Triathlon Series is the most popular in the sport, and Chicago will also host a regular series event in 2014.

The 2015 championship will be the first time a US city has hosted the event since 1996.

The Chicago Sports Commission helped bring the event to the city and will play an integral role in hosting it.

In addition to crowning a world champion, the 2015 event will also name world champions in junior and under-23 categories, along with a Paratriathlon.

The ITU Triathlon World Championships were first held in Avignon, France in 1989. Competitors rack up points throughout the season, with the final winner crowned at the World Championship.

Exact dates for the Chicago events have yet to be determined.
