Report: Chicago No. 1 for Late-Night Food Orders

Got the late-night munchies Chicago?

According to numbers recently released by Seamless, the online delivery ordering service, Chicago is the country’s number one late-night delivery city, Bon Appetit Magazine reported.

With New York and San Francisco tied for a close second, the numbers reportedly show 14 percent of Chicago’s total orders from Seamless happening between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

It comes as no surprise that pizza was reportedly the most-ordered food in the wee hours, but dinner hours focused more on Thai and Vietnamese for the windy city.

Mexican food took fifth place for orders by late-night munchers, the magazine reported.

With Chicago being one of the coldest cities in the wide range of Seamless locations, it could just be that Chicagoans don’t want to brave the cold, or the city's pizza is that good.

The numbers are based solely on restaurants that partner with Seamless, including 1,006 in Chicago, but that could result in skewed outcomes.

Chicago did have the second highest number of restaurants on the delivery site, however, which could mean the take-out industry is more prevalent in the city.

But don’t worry Chicago, we won’t judge.
