Big Rig Runs Over Man in Wicker Park

FILE IMAGE: A man was killed when he was run over by a big rig at Chicago and Ashland Saturday night.
A 59-year-old man was killed when a big rig ran him over at Chicago and Ashland avenues Saturday night.
The man was crossing the street at about 10:30 p.m. when the semi ran him over, according to an investigator with the police Major Accident Investigation Unit.
Police News Affairs Officer Gabrielle Lesniak said no citations have been issued against the driver, as of 6 a.m. Sunday.
Stephen Richardson, of the 2900 block of S. Michigan Ave., was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 10:30 p.m., a Cook County Medical Examiner's office spokesman said.
An autopsy is scheduled Sunday.
Police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
