An unclaimed lottery ticket worth $300,000 was sold last week in the Cragin neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side.
The ticket, sold at Bristol Liquors & Deli, 5205 W. Belmont Ave., won a $300,000 jackpot when it matched all five numbers – 01 – 05 – 11 – 21 – 32 – in the evening drawing on Sunday, Sept. 4, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery.
The winner has up to one year from the original drawing date to claim the prize by signing the back of the ticket and taking it to an Illinois Lottery prize center in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights, lottery officials said.
The retailer will receive a bonus of $3,000, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
