2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon Registration Begins Tuesday

Registration for guaranteed entry into the 2017 race is now open

Runners, take your mark -- applications for the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon are now open.

Beginning Tuesday, those wishing to participate in the 26.2-mile run next year, the 40th annual race, can apply for guranteed entry to the marathon.

Those eligible for guranteed entry into the 2017 race include runners who have run a marathon in less than 3 hours, 15 minutes for men and 3 hours, 45 minutes for women. Runners who have completed five Chicago Marathons in the past 10 years (2007-2016) and those who deferred a 2016 entry until 2017 are also qualified for entry.

Participants who choose to run and fundraise for a charity registered in the official Charity Program are also able to apply for a guaranteed spot at the starting line.

Applications for guaranteed entries are available until 2 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Non-guaranted entries are selected in a random drawing and applications will be available from Nov. 1 to Nov. 29.
