Boy, 10, Shot in North Side Park

Boy was shot while walking with friends in Ravenswood, police said

A 10 year-old boy was shot in the leg Monday night while walking with friends in Ravenswood.

Chicago police say the group was walking through Ronan Park near the North Branch of the Chicago River when shots rang out around 10 p.m.

Paramedics picked up the boy near the bridge on the 3000 block of Argyle and took him to Children’s Memorial Hospital.

As of Tuesday morning, police say the boy is in good condition.
