Knife-Wielding Robber Hit Three Businesses In Chicago: Police

A serial robber who targeted a Dunkin Donuts in Chicago is believed to have robbed two other businesses in the city.

Authorities said a man armed with a knife most recently robbed the Dunkin Donuts in the city’s Austin neighborhood on the West Side Monday morning. The thief pretended to be a customer and then demanded money, police said in a community alert.

The same man is suspected of robbing two other stores in a similar fashion in the past month, including the Londo Mondo clothing store in Lincoln Park and the Green Goddess Boutique in Bucktown, both on the city's North Side.

In the robbery at the Green Goddess Boutique, a clerk was slashed in the hand during a struggle with the thief, police said.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old man standing between 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 150-230 pounds.

He was seen in one robbery wearing a dark blue hooded rain coat and most recently spotted in a black jacket with red trim, red pants and black and red Nike gym shoes.
