The safety inspection for a tractor trailer pulled over on Monday turned out to be a real doozie. Or is that doobie?
Illinois State Police say that more than a ton of pot was found hidden in the back of the semi after being pulled over for an inspection near Bloomington, Ill., on Interstate 55.
The more than 100 bundles of marijuana, worth about $10 million, was found hidden in a load of paper products in the truck's trailer, State Police Lt. Fred Winterroth said.
The 50-year-old driver, from Tucson, Ariz., is being questioned, but hasn't been formally charged. A passenger riding in the truck's cab was not detained by police.
