Election Judge Arrested at Polling Place
Allegedly accosted one voter
BY Charlie Wojciechowski

Chicago authorities arrested an election judge Tuesday evening for allegedly repeatedly denying provisional ballots from voters.

The judge in the 20th precinct of the 20th ward also allegedly accosted at least one voter, said Chicago Board of Elections communications director Jim Allen.

The allegedly belligerent judge wasn't alone.

He joins a judge dismissed for showing up drunk to the polling place, and another judge dismissed for being disruptive in the polling place. The Chicago Board of Elections employs 15,000 judges on election day.

In suburban Cook County another judge was arrested after she showed up unassigned and refused to leave.
