Porn Musical Coming to Theaters

After "Octomom: the Musical," we thought LA might be running out of taboo topics to put to music.

We thought wrong.

A new musical about the adult entertainment industry is in development. As of now, there's no official title, but we're rooting for "Porgy and Bess Do Dallas." Of course, we'd settle for "Oh! Oh! Oh-klahoma."

The project is being tag-teamed by LA-based Center Theatre Group and New York-based theater company The Civilians. The show will "explore the real life stories of the people who work in California's pornography industry," according to Playbill.com.

Despite having no official start date, progress is being documented along the way on the project's blog.

"So I've learned recently that a lot of porn people are on Twitter," according to one of the blog posts. "I've mostly learned exciting things like when people are going to the gym and what they're having for lunch and mostly it seems that porn stars are eating better than I do. But then again they are on camera naked a lot, and I'm not. Good inspiration to eat some leafy green vegetables."

For those of you in the industry, producers want to have a chat. They can be reached at projects@thecivilians.org.

For the rest of us non-industry people, we'll just have to wait for opening night.
