"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" finally lands in theaters in little less than a week, and fans around the globe have been treated to a review-free build up thanks to Disney and director J.J. Abrams' decision to limit advance screenings of the film.
Following Monday's highly-anticipated Hollywood premiere, the critical response to the movie is sure to be quick and plenteous. But until we can get our first look at Abrams and Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy's vision for the future of the franchise, let's cast our gaze back across the decades to a time when the words Jedi, Tatooine, Jawa and Darth Vader were not part of the pop culture vernacular.
