The celebutante was reportedly detained while stopping at the French island after taking a private jet from Paris.
Paris was reportedly released without charge.
A rep for the star did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Access Hollywood – however, Paris took to her Twitter page to defend herself.
"So sick of people making up rumors about me. The latest one about me is completely false too. Don't believe what you read. Silly nonsense," Paris Tweeted on Saturday morning.
"Paris Hilton was questioned today by police in South Africa on allegations of smoking marijuana," Hilton's rep said in a statement to Access at the time. "I can confirm that the incident was a complete misunderstanding and it was actually another person in the group who did it."
