A day after questions were raised about actress Lindsay Lohan's arrest on Wednesday for allegedly hitting a pedestrian and leaving the scene of an accident, the NYPD released surveillance video of the incident.

But in the video, in which bystanders' faces are blurred, it is unclear whether a man was actually struck.

Authorities initially said the 26-year-old Lohan allegedly struck a Jersey City man while trying to navigate her 2010 Porsche Cayenne out of an alleyway between the Dream Hotel and the Maritime in Chelsea around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Later Wednesday, several law enforcement officials said they were waiting on the man's medical records to determine whether he was actually struck by the car.

The surveillance video shows Lohan flashing her headlights as she signaled to the man to move out of her vehicle's path.

She continued to drive forward and her right bumper either brushed by or completely missed the man. After Lohan passed him, the video shows the man running after her, yelling. It wasn't known what he said.

A law enforcement official said there is no indication Lohan was intoxicated or had been drinking  before or after the incident.

Lohan was released with a desk appearance ticket. She's next due in court Oct. 23.

Prosecutors are waiting for medical records before deciding how to proceed with the case. The alleged victim in the case, Jose Rodriguez, a restaurant worker, was treated for a reported leg injury at Bellevue Hospital and released.

Lohan's publicist, Steve Honig, said he was confident the allegations would prove false.

"We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue," Honig wrote in an email. He wrote the incident appeared to be "much ado about nothing."

It was the latest car incident involving Lohan.

On June 8, Lohan was involved in a crash in California that sent her and her assistant to a hospital. They were on their way to a shoot for the film "Liz and Dick'' when Lohan's Porsche collided with a dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Neither was seriously injured and Lohan resumed shooting later in the day.

The accident remains under investigation and police have said they are trying to determine who was driving.

Lohan remains on informal probation for taking a necklace last year from a jewelry store without permission. She is not required to check in with a judge or probation officer, but she could face a jail term if she is re-arrested.

Lohan recently filmed "The Canyons," a film by "Less Than Zero" author Bret Easton Ellis. "The Canyons" has Lohan playing opposite James Deen, who is best known as an adult film star with thousands of movies to his credit.
