House Where Jacko Died on Market for $29M

The mansion Michael Jackson died in is up for sale again, for a cool $29 million.

The Holmby Hills home, which the singer was renting for $100,000 per month when he died on June 25, 2009, has seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and 12 fireplaces, according to the Los Angeles Times. Owned by Ed Hardy brand CEO Hubert Guez, the 17,171-square-foot French chateau went on sale in 2008 for $10 million more than the current asking price.

The home, built in 2002, has a theater, a wine cellar and tasting room, an art studio, a gym with a spa, and an elevator, according to the Times. The guesthouse has stained-glass doors leading to the pool and gardens.

Thousands of tourists have visited the home at 100 North Carolwood Drive since Jackson's death, and it is now a regular stop for tour buses that pass homes of celebrities.

Jackson was found dead in one of the bedrooms after Dr. Conrad Murray, who has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter, administered the dose of the sedative propofol that officials say killed the King of Pop. Murray was Jackson's $150,000-per- month personal physician as the singer prepared for a marathon stand in London.

Murray is facing trial on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death. A preliminary hearing in Murray's manslaughter trial was set for August 23.
