10 Things to Do in Chicago This Weekend

Festival season is in full swing in Chicago this weekend

It may not feel like summer yet, but festival season in Chicago is in full swing this weekend. 

Check out a number of events happening around the city, from food festivals to concerts and sporting events from June 5 through June 7. 

Lincoln Park Greek Fest: Get your Greek on at the annual Lincoln Park Greek Fest, featuring food, music and culture from the Mediterranean country. The festival is held at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church from Friday to Sunday.

Printers Row Lit Fest: Check out the literary scene at the annual Printers Row Lit Fest this weekend. More than 200 booksellers will set up shop, and the same number of authors will give talks and participate in panel discussions. The event is held in the Printers Row neighborhood Saturday and Sunday. 

Taste of Little Village: Sample of the city's best Mexican food from the restaurants in Little Village and beyond. The event also includes non-stop musical performances, cooking demonstrations with top chefs and carnival rides. The festival is held on 26th Street in Little Village from Friday to Sunday.

57th Street Art Fair: Browse fine art in Hyde Park at the annual 57th Street Art Fair. Up to 250 exhibitors will show their work, which includes jewelry, leather, photography, printmaking and more. The event takes place Saturday and Sunday. 

Taste of Wheaton: Head out west to suburban Wheaton for a weekend of food, beer, carnival rides and live entertainment. The annual festival began Thursday and will run through Sunday in Memorial Park in downtown Wheaton. 

Break Out Comedy Festival: NBCUniversal and Second City have teamed up to host the first annual Break Out Comedy Festival highlighting up-and-coming talent in the comedy world. The festival is hosted by Al Madrigal ("About a Boy") and Ron Funches ("Undateable") and takes place Friday and Saturday at UP Comedy Club. 

Morton Arboretum Craft Beer Festival: Enjoy a cold beer and the great outdoors at the Morton Arboretum Craft Beer Festival. Attendees can sample beer from more than 46 breweries while listening to the '90s tribute band Run Forrest Run. The event takes place Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Wingout Chicago: The first annual festival celebrating chicken wings in Chicago makes its debut this weekend. Up to 20 wing vendors will provide all-you-can-eat fare for attendees. The festival takes place at the St. Mike's Parking Lot in Old Town on Saturday and Sunday.

White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers: Take a trip to U.S. Cellular Field and watch the White Sox face off against the Detroit Tigers. The teams play each other in Chicago on Friday at 7:10 p.m., on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. and on Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

Blackhawks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning: The Hawks won't be in town this weekend, but Chicagoans will have their eyes on the Game 2 on Saturday hoping to cheer their team to another victory.
