Gov. Quinn Creates Twitter, Flickr Accounts

The lure of social media has finally found its way to the governor's office, prompting Gov. Pat Quinn to jump on the sharing bandwagon.

Quinn announced Thursday that he has created Twitter and Flickr accounts, according to the Associated Press.

The governor's office said his accounts will be updated regularly and marked "-GOV."

Quinn's office said the governor is interested in getting "feedback from people around the state."

Earlier in the day, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel hosted his first Facebook town hall.
