Barack Obama has deployed James Taylor before. The folk singer performed America the beautiful at his second term inauguration, among other things.

Now Obama's Organizing for Action political apparatus -- the same one that has been sending you emails about the Affordable Care Act, ad nauseum -- is using the singer to collect donations.

In exchange for a donation to OFA, participants will be entered for a chance to win airfare, hotel stay and back stage passes to a James Taylor concert in Chicago.

While the OFA email doesn't make it clear when and where the event will take place, Taylor is scheduled to perform at the Ravinia Pavilion in Highland Park, Illinois on Thursday June 26 and Friday June 27.
