Cory Booker Hitting Up Chicago Tonight

Newark Mayor Cory Booker is running for the New Jersey Senate seat about to be vacated by Frank Lautenberg, and also for the title of most prominent black politician in America, which will be vacated by President Obama in 2017.

In pursuit of both those offices, Booker is raising money in Obama’s hometown tonight. He’ll be at Untitled Chicago, 111 W. Kinzie St., from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Here’s the fee schedule to hang with Mayor Booker:
  • VIP reception, beginning at 5 p.m.: open to hosts, who raise or write checks for $750, or chairs, who raise or write checks for $2,000
  • General admission: $150
  • Young professionals: $75 (limited tickets)
Booker is both a Rhodes Scholar and a hands-on mayor who suffered second degree burns while rescuing a woman from a burning building. After a 2010 snowstorm, he personally shoveled out stranded cars. A man of action and a man of intellect, Booker is going places. Tonight is your chance to get in on the ground floor of buying access to this up-and-coming politician.
