The Competition: André Thapedi
The Buzz: No campaign website or contact information for Johnson was found, but an article in the Sun-Times clarified his position. Although Johnson does not have a political record, he has attempted to run for alderman a few times prior to the present election. In previous elections, Johnson has not had an adequate number of signatures, causing him to forfeit his campaign. He works as a building manager, along with being on the Paul Robeson High School council. Johnson said his primary interest is education and that a great team cannot be made at schools if there is no money to fund the teachers.
