"The Hurt Locker" dominated the BAFTA Awards, Britain's answer to the Oscars, taking home six trophies, for Best Picture, Best Director (Kathryn Bigelow), Original Screenplay (Mark Boal), Cinematography (Barry Ackroyd), Editing (Bob Murawski, Chris Innis) and Sound (Ray Beckett, Paul N. J. Ottosson).
