Chicago Ideas Week is coming back once again, and the third time around we’re all hopefully more savvy about the event and what it offers. But nobody’s an expert, and nobody can possibly be expected to catch everything they’d want at the annual gathering of minds from multiple disciplines all over our city from Oct. 14 through Oct. 20. Inc. Well’s here to help.

The event: Threadless: Threadless Think Lab. Stop by the Threadless store at 1260 W. Madison St. on Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

Who's speaking: Threadless CEO Jake Nickell will host.

Why you should care: Threadless is a unique company whose business model relies heavily on the general public. Nickell and his comrades teach two important lessons about running a business: how to take advantage of modern technology, and how to build a community. Plus, they just seem like nice people.
