Retired Chicago Bears defensive end Richard Dent on the sidelines before an NFC divisional playoff game against the Carolina Panthers Jan. 15, 2006, at Soldier Field. The Panthers defeated the Bears 29 - 21.
Today, Gov. Pat Quinn honored a Chicago Bears great by proclaiming the day "Richard Dent Day."
He honored Dent not only for his impending enshrinement to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but also for his humanitarian work.
Here at Grizzly Detail, we'd also like to honor the man who taught us the immortal words,
The sackman's comin'
I'm your man Dent.
If the quarterback's slow,
He's gonna get bent.
We need your help to do that. We want to hear your favorite Richard Dent memories.
Was it from Super Bowl XX? From the strike-shortened 1987 season, where he still managed to tally 12.5 sacks? Or is it in his retirement and the way the man can wear a hat?
Tell us your favorite No. 95 memories in the comments or through the Grizzly Detail Twitter page. We'll publish the best ones next week to celebrate Dent's overdue enshrinement in the Hall.
