NEW YORK

Back Forty West
Opened: March 19, 2012
70 Prince St. / Nolita

Formerly known as Savoy, the restaurant’s owner Peter Hoffman decided to close down Savoy in attempt to recreate his 20-year-old restaurant into an inventive  “New Americanish” style restaurant.  It can be described as having an organic feel with an amazing ambiance. Within the couple weeks that Back Forty West has been open, it has customers raving about the delicious entrees such as Green Chili Pork Face Nuggets, and Chicken Liver Mousse with Cracklins. (Yum!?).

Mihoko’s 21 Grams

Opening: April 19, 2012
16 W 22nd St. / Flatiron District

Dreamed up by Asian ballerina and heiress Mihoko Kiyokawa. This upscale French-Japanese restaurant is made up primarily of imported marble, porcelain and bronze making your experience seem like your dining with royals.

The NoMad
Opened: March 26, 2012
1170 Broadway New York / Flatiron District

The NoMad has been highly anticipated in its opening and for good reasons. The restaurant’s space has been inspired by European courtyards, which includes several rooms such as The Fireplace Room, which is small and cozy with only six tables, and The Library which unveils a proprietary feel especially while sipping a cocktail on the 24-foot-long mahogany bar.

BOSTON

Nix’s Mate
Opening: April 13, 2012
89 Broad Street / Financial District

New England inspired cuisine is making its way into downtown Boston and has locals elated to experience this fresh addition to the financial district. The name Nix’s Mate is in reference to a small island within the Boston Harbor where pirates were arrested and tied to rocks (arrrgghh) in attempt to terminate pirate activity. Little did they know of their influence on restaurant names 300 years later.

LOS ANGELES

Yojisan Sushi
Opening: April 10, 2012
260 N Beverly Dr / Beverly Hills

Collaborated by partners Giacomino Drago and sushi chef Yoji Tajima, Yojisan Sushi will bring fame to a contemporary Japanese cuisine in a space designed by Dan Brunn that creates a sleek and modern environment. When walking through the entrance there is a “dream-like floating garden of leafy plants” and light panels lighting up the entirety of the space replicating a bamboo forest.
