Watch Some Muddy Gals at the Viaduct

Plus "Repo! The Musical" and J-Woww from "Jersy Shore"

MUDDY WATERS: With the February primaries less than two weeks away, political candidates are getting down to some good, old fashioned mudslinging. But they're not the only ones getting down in the dirt. The Chicago Mud Queens duke it out in a mud pit at the Viaduct Theatre. 3111 N. Western Ave.; Roscoe Village. Saturday. 8 p.m. $15.

OH MY GOTH: The "goth rock opera" Repo! The Genetic Opera screens at the Music Box. Featuring appearance by Paris Hilton and Nivek Ogre of Skinny Puppy, Repo! takes place in a dystopian future where repo men go after people who've defaulted on their payments for organ transplants. 3733 N. Southport Ave.; Lakeview. Saturday. Midnight. $15.

BRUTE STRENGTH: Roll up those sleeves because the Windy City Rollers flex their biceps at Reggie's Music Joint for an arm-wrestling tournament. The winner takes home $100. 2105 S. State St.; Near South Side. Saturday. 7 p.m.

LEARNING TO GRIEVE: Acclaimed author Joan Didion watched her husband suddenly die from a heart attack in their New York apartment in 2003. A few days before, the couple's daughter went into septic shock after developing pneumonia. Didion recounts her process of grieving in The Year Of Magical Thinking, which has been turned into a one-woman show that is currently in production at Court Theatre. 5535 S. Ellis Ave.; Hyde Park. Saturday. 8 p.m. Sunday. 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. $32 to $56.

SHAM-WOWW: J-Woww from MTV's Jersey Shore reality show is expected to bring her, uh, natural beauty to Rino. If you've never seen an episode of the show, count yourself in the "lucky" category. 343 W. Erie St.; River North. Saturday. 11 p.m. $20.
