NBC 5’s Jen DeSalvo has the details as Chicago digs out from its first winter storm of the season.
The Chicago area ushered in 2022 with a winter storm as steady snowfall blanketed the region, creating hazardous travel conditions and prompting more than 1,000 flight cancellations.
Forecasters had called for 4-to-8 inches of snow in some locations, with the storm finally moving out of the area Sunday morning.
