Man Injured in Uptown Shooting

A 20-year-old man was in good condition after being shot in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood Monday afternoon.

The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue, near the Chicago Transit Authority's Wilson station on the Red Line, according to police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala.

The victim was wounded in the ankle and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, Zala said.

Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
