Genealogy Websites Helped Identify the 1978 Victim of Serial Killer John Wayne Gacy

Another previously unnamed victim of infamous serial killer John Wayne Gacy has been identified, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday. The Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the DNA Doe Project, an organization dedicated to identifying remains using genetic genealogy, to compare the genetic profile of the remains to others on a genealogy website.
