Dolce & Gabbana snapped up 80-year-old Daphe Selfe for a recent ad campaign.

She earns up to £1,000 a day (or in the vicinity of $1500 dollars) as the advertising face (or the runway image) of designers like Dolce & Gabbana. Which isn't half bad for a model who's no less than 80 years old.

Grandmother Daphne Selfe has just celebrated 60 years in the modeling industry and credits her longevity to being "half-Irish," having "strong bone structure" and being "supple." That, and being far more in demand once her hair turned grey. This, she claims, made other models admire her but not envy her, for as she puts it, "I have a niche all my own."
