Tonight: Keep On (Food) Truckin'

Plus: Two Wheel Tuesdays, The Knocks and DMC and Single Ladies book launch

MOBILE FOOD: Forget chasing down your favorite food truck by heading to the northwest lot of North Avenue and Halsted Street. At least four and up to 10 of the mobile vendors will converge at this spot between 4-7 p.m. and offer all of their goodies in one spot. Munch on favorites from popular trucks such as Gaztro-Wagon, The Slide Ride, The Southern Mac Truck and Sweet Miss Givings. The foodie convention of sorts has been meeting at this spot every Tuesday this month.

TWO WHEEL TUESDAYS: There's another advantage to biking to Oak Street Beach in addition to easy parking. The Oak Street taco stand offers two for one tacos every Tuesday this summer if you show up with a bike helmet or a seat. Choose from fish, grilled shrimp, pork, chicken and veggie tacos and burn it all off on the ride home! 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

THE KNOCK ROCKS: Head to the upstairs lounge at Rockit Bar & Grill for "The Summer Solstice Soiree," a live performance by New York remix kings The Knocks and DMC of Run DMC. The hard-knockin' event celebrates the official start of summer. RSVP to morgan@rockitranch.com for entry. 6-9 p.m., 22 W. Hubbard St

ALL THE SINGLE LADIES: Author Deanna Kimberly Burrell launches her new book "Single Girl Summer" at The Red Canary tonight. The book celebrates life, love, friendship between three single women with very different perspectives. Expect plenty of single gals in the house sharing their own stories over glasses of sangria. 6-9 p.m., 695 N Milwaukee
