Rose Out With Turf Toe

Down two point guards, the Chicago Bulls signed free agent guard Mike James

Derrick Rose will sit out tonight's game against the Wizards with a case of turf toe.

Rose suffered the injured Tuesday night against  the Minnesota Timberwolves when he ran into forward Anthony Tolliver.

Down two point guards (CJ Watson is out with an elbow), the Chicago Bulls signed free agent guard Mike James.

James, signed Wednesday, had been playing in the NBA D-League for Erie, where he averaged 15.3 points in three games.

An eight-year NBA veteran, James, 36, last appeared in the NBA with the Washington Wizards for four games during the 2009-10 season.

The 6-foot-2 guard has also played with the Heat, Pistons, Celtics, Rockets, Bucks, Raptors, Timberwolves and Hornets. In 528 regular-season games, he has averaged 10.5 points.
