What Bears' Mitch Trubisky Told Peter King About Comeback Win in Detroit

Trubisky talks with NFL insider: 'I do catch a lot of crap' originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

After the Bears' crazy 27-23 win over the Lions, NFL Insider Peter King got Mitch Trubisky on the phone to try and parse through the whole thing. Trubisky's numbers weren't good through the first three quarters, but his performance in the 4th was the perfect example of why he's still the Bears' QB1. His performance lead King's Football Morning In America column, and the QB dove into his apparent 2020 mindset:

“It’s crazy,” Trubisky told King. “I do catch a lot of crap. But like coach says, you’ve got to enjoy the wins in the NFL, and I’m going to. This was a special day. I’m thankful for what I have in life, especially now, with COVID-19 and social injustice everywhere. I’m really grateful just to be playing football right now. The game’s made me a better man, a better person. It’s made me tougher. It’s why I never gave up today.”
