MLB Postseason: Cubs Announce 40-Man Pool of Eligible Players

Cubs announce 40-man postseason player pool originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

The Cubs announced their 40-man postseason player pool on Thursday.

The group consists of players eligible for the Cubs during their postseason run. Those currently on the 28-man active roster are included, in addition to a combination of 12 players currently on the injured list or those who trained at the South Bend alternate site.

Each team must submit a 28-man active roster each postseason round.

Here is a list of the Cubs' 40 players.

Pitchers

  • Brothers, Marquez, Osich, Rea, Steele, Chatwood (IL) and Wick (IL) are not currently on the active roster.
